I was, quite frankly, nervous about this gig.  I hadn't had many gigs since my sore throat/tummy bug episode, and I wasn't sure I'd make it all the way through this gig.  It was a new venue too, which makes it even more nerve-wracking. 

I shouldn't have worried, though.  i have decided to take things a little easier at gigs, and it paid off at this one.  I chatted more than I usually do, which cut down the number of songs I had to sing.  This gave me more energy to put into the songs, which I think was reflected in the applause/praise/general loveliness of the people there.  I hope to be back (I was told there's a tick against my name, so it looks very likely!).
