Fife's Top Quality Singer

Saturday 30th July 2005 - McAndrews, Kirkcaldy

We arrived at this venue to be greeted by a scene from a cowboy movie -  everyone in the place fighting.

The first hour of the night was then spent with a bit of a strained atmosphere, hoping that it wouldn't kick off again. I was a bit nervous, and didn't make any jokes about the situation.

(Usually I'd say something like "Welcome, Ladies and Gentlemen, to the Flying Tumbler")

 The bar soon filled up and I had a good middle section with lots of people appearing to enjoy themselves. the last half hour saw most of the customers lose interest, which isn't the norm.  Usually the alcohol takes effect and they join in with the singing, but here it got a bit quiet.

Overall this was a good pub with excellent staff and except for the odd trouble maker, a nice bunch of folk.
