Saturday 11th September 2005 - Scoonie Golf Club, Leven

I played from 8 til 12, a longer set than usual for me - I usually do 9 til 12 - but it didn't seem that long. I was amazed to find a crowd when I arrived, and the place filled up by 8.30. Pete, the club captain, told me they had sold all of their tickets and more! No pressure then....

I must admit to being a little apprehensive about such a long set, but I needn't have worried. There were a good number of younger people in the audience, and I did most of my rocky songs, much to their surprise. It's not every night you hear someone do `Paper Roses` and Greenday's `Basket Case` !

These nights at Scoonie may become a regular thing for the club, depending on how the profits were for the night. There isn't much to do in Leven on a Saturday night these days, (in my opinion!) and it could only be a good thing for the Golf Club and its members.
