Sunday 16th October 2011 - The Durie Lodge Hotel, Leven

Well I must admit to being a bit worried about this gig, as I can remember the last time I was in here for a drink. To say it was in need of a facelift would be an understatement, and a lot of people I spoke to made not-so-favourable comments about the place.

It has certainly had its facelift.  The main bar/lounge area is beautifully decorated, and looks a hundred times better than when I last visited.  There are a couple of big comfy sofas, and laminated floor throughout.  The staff could not be friendlier, and the service was excellent.

This was only the second week of the Durie having live entertainment on, so it was a bit quiet.  however, I reckon that as soon as people give this Hotel a second chance and come back in and have a look, they will want to put it on their list of places to visit on a night out.  I hope to see the bar full next time..

Come on Leven, give the Durie a go!
