Saturday 11th November - Windygates Bowling Club

Only my second gig back, and I was nervous as hell.  This was a long night, as I arrived at around 6.45pm to set up before the presentation began.  I actually got started around 8.30, and finished at 12am.  This sounds quite long, but I had a good few decent breaks during the evening, one of which included having something to eat at the buffet.  So I can't really complain about the amount of singing I did.  I was, however, totally knackered at the end of the night, and in need of a good "nose powdering".  Ahem.

There were more people in the club than the last presentation I did.  They stayed for the most part too, which was encouraging.

I must say a great big HI THERE to John Walker, a very nice man who has been in touch to suggest songs and styles of music for me to add into the set.  This type of feedback is always welcome, and I would encourage everyone who has any (printable) suggestions to do the same.  I didn't catch his wife's name, but she was very complimentary too.

All in all, I am pleased with my performance, which is always a good thing.

Saturday 30th October 2005 - Windygates Bowling Club, Windygates

This is the second time I have been here. The first was for my mother-in-law's birthday (no pressure!).

I was quite disappointed at the poor turnout for this gig, as the Bowling Club were having their annual presentation on the same night.

There is another act on next week - a comedian and band - so I hope those of you from the area will support the club.
