Saturday 19th September 2009 - Lochloy Caravan Park, Nairn

It was a loooooong 3 hour drive to get to this caravan park.  We had to be there for 6pm and set up by 7.30 in time for the entertainment to start, so it was a bit of a rush - Stuff was thrown into the car and off we went around 3.

We arrived just on time, and were greeted by Aaron, the Ents manager.  A nicer guy you could not meet.  He was very welcoming and professional, and let me know the details of the night - ie when and where etc.

I was only booked for 2 x 45 mins, which is a shorter night than I am used to, but of course I always put 100% into singing anywhere, and I was, of course, keen to impress at a new venue.

During the evening I mentioned that Patrick Swayze, star of stage and screen, had sadly died.  I then did my three slower Dirty Dancing songs - "Hungry Eyes", "Be my Baby" and "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow".  During the first song, Aaron leapt gazelle-like to his feet and invited a lady from the audience to re-enact a dance scene from the movie.  He's obviously had quite a bit of dance training, and the crowd were impressed (as was I!).  Thanks, Aaron.

I hope to be invited back, but I'll definitely be looking into booking a caravan for the night next time.
